We specialise in IT recruitment for businesses in Manchester, Leeds & across the North, but don’t limit ourselves to one niche. We focus on getting to know your business so that we can find the right person for every single hire.
Why ON:iT Recruitment?
We’re not going to tell you that we’re different to every other IT recruiter in Manchester or Liverpool – we prefer to show you. But these values drive everything we do…
We empower our people to empower your people, ensuring you always find a well-rounded fit.
We believe that people buy from people. By getting to know you, we can better understand your needs.
We care about the clients we work with, and won’t stop until we find the right solution for you.
We sell people, not processes. Our team are always happy to adapt our approach to the way you work.
IT Recruitment you can rely on.
Some of the UK’s top employers trust us to find stand-out candidates in short timeframes. But don’t just take our word for it – put us to the test.
Here are some of the markets we operate in:
The ON:iT Recruitment Team
We came together to bring a more genuine, people-focused approach to placing the right candidates in the IT career of their dreams in Manchester, Leeds and the North. Meet our team to discover why our clients choose us.
I’ve experienced the various ways in which agencies approach recruitment; for me, the best results come through long-term partnerships, not shortcuts. I also believe that, to keep clients happy, you need to create an environment that people want to work for. Through ON:iT, I wanted to lay down a blueprint for delivering a simple, honest service.
When I’m not at work, I like getting out and about, spending time with Missy my bulldog – although you can often find her at our office, too! – or catching up with friends over a few drinks in town. These days I spend quite a bit of time in the city, but I do love escaping back home to the countryside for a bit of clay pigeon shooting when I can. For my sins I also like keeping up to date with the ups (and downs) of my team Manchester United.
Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that different approaches work for different people. Through ON:iT, I wanted to take the best bits of recruitment, while empowering our staff to express themselves and deal genuinely with our clients. I’m responsible for growing and managing the team, so culture is important to me.
When I’m not meeting clients or in the office, you can find me spending time with family or cheering from the sidelines at sports games. I’m a huge fan of both ice hockey and football; we sponsor players for Manchester Storm and Stockport County, so I try to get to as many matches as I can.
I really get a buzz out of doing a good job for a client, and working with them again on future vacancies, no matter how complex. That’s what I love about ON:iT Recruitment: while we each have specialisms, our consultants can recruit contractors and permanent staff across the board, meaning we can work as an extension of our clients’ businesses.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my family – especially my wife and two cats. I like to stay active through sport, mainly Football, Bouldering and Running. I also enjoy travelling the world and exploring new places, with recent trips to Hong Kong, Philippines and Egypt
I thrive under pressure; even the most demanding of job vacancies don’t phase me. In my eyes, building relationships is the key to success in this industry, which is why I joined ON:iT Recruitment. It’s not about quick wins, it’s about getting to know the people we support to find the right solution for them.
When I’m not at work, I like to stay active – shopping, cooking, going to the gym, socialising with friends and getting outdoors with my dog. My family are from Nottingham, so I try to visit them regularly too!
I love building relationships with candidates and clients, and helping them stay up to date with changes in the tech world. My work means that I know about upcoming trends, often before most other people. That’s why I joined ON:iT Recruitment: they empower me to empower others with the information and support they need to grow.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll either find me cheering from the sidelines at an ice hockey match – I’m a huge Manchester Storm fan – or looking after my growing tribe of guinea pigs!
After spending seven years working independently in recruitment, it’s great to be part of such an ambitious and supportive team here at ON:iT. The focus here is on freedom and flexibility, and the team offer invaluable help and advice without suffocating you.
I’ve worked across a wide variety of different areas during my time in IT (including infrastructure, development and cloud services), but now I specialise in IT & Information Security. My role involves helping ON:iT establish a presence in this market, build up an expansive portfolio of high-quality available candidates, and nurture existing relationships with people in this sector.
I spend a lot of my free time outdoors and taking walks in the countryside. My partner and I have our very own smallholding in Greater Manchester, with horses, goats, pigs and sheep, and there’s always plenty to do!
I enjoyed working with a number of the ON:iT Recruitment team in a previous role, so I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the company. They put the focus on people, which is what I love about them. Recruitment is all about relationships, after all, and they understand what’s important.
I use my experience in candidate delivery to help bring people on board, taking advantage of the tools ON:iT provide, like their advanced CMS system, ONLiNE video platform and LinkedIn Recruiter.
When I’m not at my desk, I’m with my theatre company. Singing, dancing and playing music are things I have been involved with for as long as I can remember.
Just like at Storm, there’s a great team dynamic here at ON:iT and I’m really happy to be a part of it. It’s flexible, fast-paced work that sits perfectly alongside my ice hockey training and studies at Salford University.
I love Manchester and it’s so easy to get around to do stuff – which is very different to my hometown in Canada. I try to get out to play golf or catch a movie on the weekends, and right now I’m also working on my dissertation for my Masters’ degree.
I take my duties as Head of Mischief very seriously, as I don't want to be associated with a stuffy recruitment firm. Thankfully, it helps that we're in a pretty cool office space - and there are plenty of other dogs hanging around WeWork who keep me company when the team have their heads down!
Or in other words: woof woof woof. Rrrrr woof! Woof woo woo woo woof. Woof woof.
It’s hard work being the Head of Leads. Whilst Missy spends her days bouncing around the office, I constantly have to put on my cutest face to convince clients and visitors to stick around a little longer.
I’m notorious for getting my own way, and I don’t want to sound big-headed, but I’m probably the most lovable, persuasive bulldog in the office. Not that there’s much competition :-p. Just come on down and see for yourself…
